MTX RZRXP-10 Does anyone have this sub?

Hey guys, looking for information on this sub I can't find any reviews or information. I have the overhead unit now and want to add some bass. I have already ordered, should I upgrade subwoofer before I install as is? Does it sound good as is? Thanks in advance!

Installed a used Ebay $305 Holz Racing Rear Sway Bar Kit---Wow..night and day difference in how much better the XP handles and carves the dunes. The rear slides around so much easier with paddles as the body seems to remains flat and pushes the rear out vs digging in.



The story, my buddy just picked a new X3 this past December with the big hp and wide stance....my wife drove it and loved how it felt so planted. Our 2015 XP1000 with the stage-2 Shock-Therapy springs kit made the ride super nice....except when it came to riding/carving the dunes at a good clip. We ride at Glamis/Gordon's well 100% of the time and she stopped driving the XP due to the tendency of it always feeling like it is going to go up on 2 wheels and/or roll.

Come the 1st ride with the new sway bar last month....the verdict...wife two hands back on the XP steering wheel and a solid smile. I did not realize how much body lean the XP had with the the stock sway bar until I drove the X3. I was the only SxS in our group until my buddy's X3, and I just got used to the body leaning feeling.

Adding the stiff aftermarket sway bar has made the biggest difference...much more bang for the buck for the rear sway bar than the suspension spring kit ...at least for our type of riding.

Shift Indicator Wrong / Barely a High Gear

I pulled my transmission the other day to replace the snapped reverse chain. Mounted it back and followed the manual to the best of my ability. I have both of my clutches installed and torqued to spec. Both rear axles are installed in their tranny housings. I turned the engine over just to make sure that it would start, but I had to disconnect the gear indicator sensor because I don’t have a park anymore, according to my indicator. So, when the shifter is positioned to the very top, it thinks it’s in reverse instead of park. Reverse position on the shifter is actually neutral, and so on. The high gear on the shifter doesn’t feel right either. It feels like it will slip from gear, and it is really easy to knock it out of gear.

What I think I know:
The gear indicator sensor only goes on one way.
I lined up the detent star with the splined shift shaft.
I stripped the threads on the splined shift shaft where the bell crank attaches.
Stripped the original bell crank keyed threads, so replaced with a steel bell crank and it keyed right into place.
There was only one way to fit the shift fork and shift drum in place with the internal gears.

How do I get my high gear back?
How do I get my gear indicator to show parking again?

My friends and I are running RZRs around Puerto Vallarta. We run a wide variety of elevation from sea level to 10,000 ft. The 17 and 18 RZR XP 1000s have been giving grief lately. Mine would only run on the 1st 10-15% of the throttle position and then bog. These codes showed up. After disconnecting the battery, everything reset and they run fine. Has anyone else had this happen? If so, what was the problem and how did you fix it?Attachment 570834

Anyone know what this part is? Had my dash apart and after reassembly found this on passenger floor. The black things are spring loaded and appear to have brass rollers on the ends.

ssv overhead unit head room

Yea I just purchased the ssv overhead unit for my xp1000 and I did google searches saying there was plenty of headroom. Im ok until I wear my helmet, I keep hitting the speaker grill cover all the time with my helmet. So I was wondering if there is a seat lowering base that will help me and at a price that is reasonable. I assume suspension seats will help but not in my budget yet.Also would the direct connect kit sound better than the Bluetooth?

Gated Shifters Are A Must Have For XP1K Owners!

One of the best modifications I've done to my RZR XP1K. There may be other shifters on the market but to me this was the best option out there that is readily available at many retailers.

I like the fact I can throw it in gear and I know its in. None of this grinding gears between high or low or going to reverse.

I did a review and install video on this shifter as well. Near the end of the video I demonstrate how well it works. Super excited to really put this to the test next month.

Oh and I'm not sponsored or paid for any of these reviews FYI, This is all my hard earned cash paying for upgrades... I know people always wonder about that with Youtube channels.

Taking a shot in the dark before I start cutting up cardboard. Does anyone have a CAD file for a 2018 RZR XP 1000 full Skid Plate that they would be willing to share? I'm going to be making a few as I have access to a CNC and UHMW and can do it for way less than buying one. Thanks!

Super atv high clearance a arms ??

Originally was looking at getting the regular high clearance set (no front rake) and then as I looked into it more, people reccomend the super or heavy duty ball joints. Which these things are SALTY expensive.

I have read that no other ball joints work with these arms? I have heard that others do, but people I know state they have tried others with no real solid fitment. Is this true?

Which brings me to the next idea. Boxed front arms w/ uniball. I have read horror stories of the uniballs failing. Leaving people stranded.

I am looking for first world experience. Did you successfully put any other ball joints into your super atv arms?

Has the uniball on the boxed arms caused people problems? I would say I am more of a cruiser and enjoy it all then hardcore rider.

Help!!! Wheel bearing tool didn’t fit wrecked bearing seal

Bought a 44 mm tool to grease my bearings on my 18’ xp 1000 took it all apart put a little grease on the tool went to slide it on and it seemed like a tight fit something didn’t seem right took it off looked it over everything seemed good tried again and tapped it lightly with a hammer still seemed tight went to take it off and pulled the seal off the bearing. Am I doing something wrong is the tool wrong??? Now I’m in need of bearings Attachment 571112Attachment 571116

Winch decision

Hey everyone! I'm new here. Just traded in my 900s on an xp1000. First mod is definitely going to be a winch. In the pasti have had the super winch terra 35 and I had a 5000lbs viper on my 900. I'm debating between superwinch terra 45 or the super atv black ops. Does anyone have any info on the super atv? Good or bad it's seems like a good price if it's a good quality winch.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

broken rear axle help

i broke my rear left axle this weekend, hit a jump and landed on the gas and it went. unfortunately it snapped both at the hub and at the differential end so the axle cup is still connected and im not sure how thats gonna go getting it off. in the process it blew my wheel bearings out and bent my brake caliper bracket. i have a few questions, should i go OEM on the axle? i know people like to beef them up but at the same time, wouldn't you rather break an axle instead of something internal? Also my RZR is a 2017 on paper but has all 2018 graphics and color scheme so its a late model 17, does this make any difference when buying these parts, or did it not change at all?

My secondary clutch died this weekend (about 3500 miles on it) I’d like to replace it with a complete secondary clutch, does anyone know where I can get one ? I don’t want a rebuild kit I want a complete bolt on ready replacement.

Bleeding coolant system

I installed a heater on my 18 rzr 1000 xp desert edition. I have bled 2 gallons of coolant and I still have air in the system. I have cycled with front end up, with the front end low rear end up for multiple heat cycles using the bleeder on the block. I have done the same procedure with motor running and I still can not get heat to come out of the heater for more then 30 seconds. I’m thinking I still have air issues am I missing anything?

2014 xp1k hard to shift.. where do I start?

This car is new to me as of a few months ago and has about 75 hours and 1300 miles on it. We have only put about 100 of those miles on it, but it seems to run great. Fires right up, idles smooth, tons of power.

However, I have started to notice it being a little hard to shift, meaning it literally takes a bit of force to move the shifter at times.

Removed the clutch cover this evening:
I fired up the car and let it run for a few minutes. At idle (1250 rpm) the primary is spinning freely, no belt or secondary movement... However, when I give it some gas and let it fall back to idle, the secondary remains spinning for about 30 to 60 seconds before it stops again. Belt deflection (if I understand it correctly, is the amount of play up and down in the belt when moderate force is applied) is not way out of line with what I have read on here, maybe 1 1/2" of play...

Is there a list of stuff that I should begin looking into? I did some digging on here and a lot of threads sort of wander with no real resolution, aside from taking it to the dealer... has anyone had any success solving this issue without taking the car to a dealer? I just bought the car and it pretty much ate up all my free cash... Hoping this is something I can trouble shoot myself with the help of the great members of this forum.
