Clutch squeal

Hi everyone,
New RZR owner. Just purchased a used 2014 1000. Everything seems to be working great except that I’m getting a squealing noise from the primary clutch when I let off the gas. It seems to be when the belt is disengaging. I’ve tried changing the belt to a new one.. no difference. When I remove the belt, the primary bearing spins freely and the sound goes away. I’d rather not take it to the dealership so I’m hoping it’s something I can fix myself. Any suggestions are appreciated. Below is a link to the YouTube video. Thanks.

Best Belt

Just bought a 2017 RZR XP 1000 Trail and Rock and want to buy a few extra tools and parts to carry with it. What is the best belt to buy and any other items you can suggest? thx

Ok I just read some of the previous posts about belts but still curious as to what others are using. Also, is the Gates C12 CVT the same one used on the CanAm Commander XT1000?

Loss of power high RPM

Hello,

I have a 2014 1000xp and been running good lately but the last outing it would run like its running out of fuel when trying to go up hills, basically around 6K RPM, just cruising on flat ground no issues. It started to be when I turned a corner to the right and have just a little lean it would sputter. Now its at high RPMs. I been reading and thought it was the fuel pump, but just checked it and its running at 58psi. Let it idle for 20min while revving it up for a bit and still at 58. Will it get warmer while driving? Should I just drive it and then check the pressure? or is it something else I am missing?

Thanks

I have a 2017 XP1000 Rock and Trail and was wondering what the difference is between it and a HighLifter? Obviously I am new to the RZR products and have many questions. Already learned a great deal on this forum and appreciate everyone who contributes their knowledge here. thx

Help finding part: top of fuel tank

I was tightening up some bolts on a rear window and accidentally stepped on the 90 degree elbow going into the white part on the fuel tank. I think it’s my fuel pump. What’s the cheapest effective fix?

This isn’t very important but why doesn’t Polaris or any after market company make cool rzr xp1000 ball hats. I have looked everywhere.

First time out to break in

I apologize in advance for possibly asking dumb questions. Today was the first time I have taken my 2017 RZR XP1000 Trail and Rock out to break it in. Rode about 1/2 mile going 15 mph in low then stopped and put it in high.Gas gauge indicated 3 bars down from full so went to fill it up. Only took a little less than 3 gallons..gauge showed full. Drove about 4 miles and gauge then read down 3 bars again...not very reliable. Then had a "clattering" noise every time I backed off the throttle. It only lasted a second or two then stopped until I accelerated again. This happened at speeds from 25 mph to 40 mph, that's as fast as I went. I also noticed the temp. was reading about 188 degrees and I'm not sure what temperature is being sensed. Is that belt area temp, water temp. or what? And what is normal? I will be going on long rides this weekend and don't want to be stranded out in the boonies. Your help will be greatly appreciated. thx

This Past weekend I went out to ride, while I was trailing I noticed that some one had gotten stuck in the loose sand. I offered to pull out the truck and hooked it up, I placed it on 4wd low and then stopped to switch to High once I stepped on it I saw smoke coming from thru the passenger seat. could it have been the belt or tires? it smelled like burnt rubber.

I have a 17 XP1K and I want to run 32 inch tires with after market wheels, but I am still stuck on what offset to run with the new wheels. Yes I have red the posts that say the 5+2 is the best offset as far as maintaining ride and geometry. What I want to hear from you is if you are running after market wheels what offset are you running and how you like it and what issues are you encountering. The last thing I want is to drop a grand on wheels and tires and get them mounted and find they rub or cause other issues. I am not looking to upgrade anything else at this time so let's not debate the merits of running with the stock transmission setup.

I am looking for your honest opinion based on your experience experience.
Here are the wheels I am looking at in 5-2 and looking to run the 32 inch Tusk Terrabite.

Engine error codes

Xp1k 2017 I have about 250 miles on it
went out nighttime down a snowmobile trail (wheels) and got stuck
at one point I jump back in, throw it in H and throttle out hard from a dead stop to get out of my hole (no seat belt) and felt the engine loose power after revving up, later thinking the seat belt was the reason

once I was out of the hole my engine check light was on
i pretty much rode home at that point and only did about 3-4 miles total

later reading showed me belt slip could have caused the initial engine light to come on as well as the seat belt

now home this morning i checked the engine codes and got these
and 3K rpm range is rough at stand still

3056/4 something about black wire 02 sensor
520344/17 fuel corrective adjustment - lean

idle is searching, ranging about 200 rpm
i have disconnected the battery and driven around the block at 4500 RPM trying to reset it, the engine light started to blink then stayed on so i think i did it right and still getting those 2

opened up the fuel cap checking for suction
i am also considering replacing the intake boot with billet, one thread showed this as a potential problem for the lean condition.

other than that and ordering a new 02 sensor i am kinda lost at this point, sad thing is i am 1 week out of warranty

any help is appreciated

Seat won't slide?

Got sliding seats that take an act of God & King Kong to get them to move?

Couple squirts of this and they slide like butter. Dirt & crud won't stick to it and, its waterproof.

Pull the seats out and a couple quick squirts on the square tube slider portion.

Aftermarket seat recommendation

I'm looking to upgrade my factory seat (one, or both) in my xp1000.

I have click6 harnesses (and thus, presume i'd go AROUND the seats vs the cutouts, but happy to do it either way)

Anyone recommend a brand, or brands, they really like -- especially if they've used them with the click6 harness?

Thanks!

2017 XP 1000 High Idle When Cold

$

I've tried to search on this but I get SO MANY results, most of them really old and different machines.

My 2017 XP 1000 idles at about 1350-1400 when cold, which is a problem for me because my clutch is set to engage at a pretty low RPM.
The result is that my clutch is just beginning to engage, so shifting is difficult and a bit jerky, when it is cold.
I could adjust the clutch, but then I get the engagement "clunk", which I don't like.

I'd rather bring that idle speed down, if it is not supposed to be 1400 when it's cold. The manual says 1200 +/- 100, but does not specify whether that's a warm or cold idle, or if they should be different.

Anyone know how to adjust the idle? Is it even possible on a stock machine, or is it an ECU thing?

Thanks in advance...

XP1K oem ace 325 gear reduction review

2015 XP1K 2 seater, 32” roctanes, Dalton clutch kit, 4 seater helix on c4 setting, low engagement primary spring.

Buddy and I did the Ace 325 gear swap, 27% gear reduction over stock 2015 XP1K. Huge difference! If you rock crawl i highly recomend this setup. Clutch engauges very smooth and about 300-500 rpm lower than it did in exact same setup with oem 2015 gears.

I have also noticed in the exact same situation and trails a 40-70 degree belt tempurate drop. And i have not changed my driveing style at all.

Low top speed (according to speedo, that im guessing is off by a bit due to 32” roctanes) before 325 gears was 37mph. Low top speed with 325 gears is 27 now.

Havent had any room to see what high top speed is yet.

Bought the shaft and gear from partshark.com
3235450 48 tooth gear $92.03
3235451 shaft reverse 25 tooth $94.25

First trail & rock outing and concerns

Took my 2017 CP1000 T&R out on a 200 mile ride this weekend and have some questions. First, when going down a fairly steep rock and gravel trail I was in low and slightly braking and the rear end would lock up and I started to fishtail several times. Finally stopped and put it in high and was okay but also sounded like belt was slipping. I'm use to my CanAm Commander ( and was actually riding behind one ) that automatically slows down without braking. The one I was following never had to touch his brakes at all. How do you handle a situation going down steep downhills?
Second, several times before we started to go up a steep rocky trail I would stop, try to put it in low and I could not move the shifter out of high...at all. So I had to slowly climb in hi gear and could hear the belt noise. Then a few other times I was in low and couldn't get it back out for quite some time. I always came to a complete stop before trying to shift. Most of the time I could go from hi to low or back again without any problems but the fact I was having these issues is a big concern for me. Never had this happen with my commander so I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if, in fact, there is a mechanical problem. I only have slighly over the 200 miles I just put on. Other than these concerns I LOVE this machine. Help!

We're to mount razorback sensor??

Hey guys I mounted my razorback sensor tonight on my 2018 . I mounted it lower than they recommended mounting it because there didn't seem to be enough room at that location. What concerns me is the sensor is fairly close to the belt. I used the lock nuts on the sensor to seat it shallow so it don't stick out and hit the belt. Can you post pics of were you installed yours? Thank you.
